The new transformer is located in the redundant T11X transformer bay on the existing concrete plinth.
Works elements include:

• Phased scrapping of the existing T11X and T12X transformers and associated equipment
• Core drilling for additional cable ducts
• Excavation and disposal of contaminated limestone
• Demolition of existing plinths
• Construct new NER plinth and sump in the new T12 transformer compound
• Install new palisade fence
• Modifications to surface water drainage

All works were phased to suit electrical works
