The works comprise of the enhancement of Alexandra Square and the underpass within the University campus and include the following elements:

Removal and replacement of the steps, ramp and paving within the square and creating of ramped access within the make up of the new steps

Construction of a new passenger lift from the underpass into the square

A new lighting scheme is to be developed within the square underpass together with provision of LED lighting within the square paving

The existing canopies around the site are to be refurbished.

Installation of new canopy cladding in the underpass.

Remodelling of the kerbs and bus laybys within the underpass.
